Anxiety disorders affect about 26% of the Portuguese population (data from the first study undertaken in Portugal about prevalence of mental disorders in the adult population – EENSM, 2013).

This type of mental disorders range from generalized anxiety to obsessive-compulsive disorders, including:

  • specific phobias
  • social anxiety (social phobia)
  • agoraphobia
  • panic attack
  • generalized anxiety disorders
  • obsessive-compulsive disorders

R&CS has psychologists certified by Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses who have an extensive experience in treating these pathologies, using cognitive-behaviour therapy - the most effective intervention model for these disorders.

The intervention in this area is done with psychologists, whenever necessary.
